A Little Bit About Dr. Katie
What TV/books are you currently into?
TV shows are a luxury these days with a toddler in the house, but I can say that my DVR is filled with all Bravo shows! When I can get an hour or two to myself, I am catching up on Real Housewives (NYC, NJ, and Beverly Hills), Southern Charm, Vanderpump Rules, or Summer House. I used to consider myself an avid reader before becoming a mom, but now I am barely able to manage finishing my 1 book a month required for book club. However, I can say that one of the best books I have ever read is called The Silent Patient. If you enjoy a good twist, you can thank me later!
What’s the best vacation/travel memory you’ve ever had?
That has to be going to the Greek Islands for our honeymoon. We rented ATVs on all the islands and it was incredible to explore on our own without any guidance. We are hoping to go back for our 10 year anniversary!
Is there something that has made you laugh/smile recently?
My 1 year old learned how to do “cheers!” and now no one is safe if they pick up a glass of anything while she has her sippy cup in her hands.
What’s the coolest thing you have ever done?
While visiting a friend in Germany, we took a 1,000 meter gondola ride to Zugspitze, which is Germany’s highest peak in the Alps. Absolutely breathtaking.
*What do you want clients to understand about your care as a Pelvic Health Specialist/Physical Therapist at Breathe Life PT?
I feel like I can offer a unique perspective as a relatively new mom, who also had struggles with infertility. I have been in your shoes, whether it be: feeling lost while trying to conceive, trying to remain active while undergoing fertility treatments, dealing with emotional and physical pain after pregnancy loss, preparing for a natural birth, trying to minimize risk for DRA in pregnancy while exercising, or restoring core and pelvic floor strength postpartum.
