A Little Bit About Dr. Becca
What/Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
I was inspired to become a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist by my clients! I originally started out as a Physical Therapist with an interest in sports and orthopedics due to my own experience in PT as an athlete from various injuries. While working in that orthopedic setting, I had the pleasure of helping many clients throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journeys, but I felt like something was missing to be able to give truly well rounded care. I’ve always had an interest in the human body, and the pelvic floor is just so fascinating, that after taking my first Pregnancy and Postpartum Rehabilitation course, I was hooked and began pursuing more coursework in pelvic rehabilitation.

What TV/book are you currently into?
Lately, I’ve been into more of the mystery/suspense/thriller genre of books and TV. I recently read Behind Her Eyes and watched the series on Netflix. The Undoing, Tell Me Your Secrets, and Your Honor have been a few TV shows I’ve binged in the past year!

What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
This talent is not so secret, but it’s probably the only “cool” talent that I have. I can sing like Shakira. Wish I could dance like her too!

What’s the best vacation/travel memory you’ve ever had?
This one is so hard! It’s probably a tie between my last family vacation to the Cayman Islands in 2017 and Costa Rica in 2019. The Cayman Islands were great because it was the first time my whole family was able to go away on vacation together since my older sister graduated from high school in 2005. And Costa Rica was the first “big trip” my boyfriend and I went on together. Such a beautiful country, and we got to do a little bit of everything - rainforest, hiking, ziplining, coffee farm, beach, surfing, and so many delicious meals!
Is there something that has made you laugh/smile recently?
My two cats, Leeroy Jenkins and Jerome Seinfeld, make me laugh and smile every day! When they are not getting into trouble that is!
